Those who are accustomed to judge by feeling do not understand the process of reasoning, for they would understand at first sight, and are not used to seek for principles. And others, on the contrary, who are accustomed to reason from principles, do not at all understand matters of feeling, seeking principles, and being unable to see at a glance.
Blaise Pascal (1623-1662)

Very good quote. I was thinking this morning, before reading your blog. Here is that thought: In order to have perspective, one must first cultivate perception.
This precedes the level of awareness I have called responsive consciousness. I have previously been critical of Pascal's Wager. But, my criticism, on reflection, was misplaced and totally unnecessary. Responsive consciousness carries responsibility.
